Embalming
To date
there has arguably been no preservation fluid as cheap and with the
same preservation properties as formaldehyde, and with the major advancements
in organic chemistry already decades old this pattern of discovery is
unlikely to change.
The current
UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) workplace exposure limit (WEL)
for formaldehyde is two parts per million (2ppm), this compares with
0.75 in the USA and 0.1ppm in Sweden and Germany.
The complex
nature of airborne fluid dynamics can act to stagnate some parts of
the air within a working area, leading to a build up in concentration
of toxic formaldehyde above the HSE limits.
The physics
and technological advancements of atmosphere modification have changed
however.
The AiroCide™
uses a patented technology that kills more than 99.99% of airborne pathogens,
completely destroying them by turning them into carbon dioxide and water
vapour. It also breaks down formaldehyde and other volatile organic
compounds in a similar way.
